A letter accompanying the photograph reads in part: "I send several photos of what to me was the original mowing machine propelled by horse power in this part of the world. This machine was made sometime in the eighteenth century by Jabez Baily." The letter was sent to Chris Borg of International Harvester by Hoopes, Bro. & Darlington, Inc. of West Chester, Pennsylvania on December 22, 1919. |
