Elizabeth Paddy Winsley
A copy of the portrait painting of Elizabeth Paddy Winsley, who was of Plymouth, Massachusetts Colony ancestry. Elizabeth was marred to John Wensley, a very wealthy merchant. In the vase behind her, there are tulips, roses and carnations, none of which bloom at the same time of year. According to the Pilgrim Hall Museum, "Portraits from this era are rare. Elizabeth Paddy Wensley’s portrait is one of the finest." |
