This represents an European adaptation of the McCormick self-rake, as built by Burgess & Key, London, England. This type of machine was displayed at the Paris Exposition in 1867. Part of the McCormick Historical Association Collections received by the State Historical Society in November, 1951." Image was likely taken for a series of feature stories on McCormick models published in the Wisconsin State Journal, Dec. 12, 1952 to Feb. 1, 1953. |
