Original caption reads, (in part): "The display shown . . . was assembled by Mrs. Ray Murray, chairman of the AAA Committee in charge of county salvage. Mrs. Murray made the poster shown in the middle. Two streams of scrap in shape of "V" are shown going into hopper printed SPRING CLEANUP and to the right is the line 'Each medium sized tank requires 18 tons of scrap iron.' At the bottom is the following: 'Dear Mr. Owner: Please pick me uup and send me where I can help supply the necessary equipment for our country and our allies, Scrap Iron. A placard in one corner says: 'This window sponsored by Des Moines Agricultural Conservation Association. Your AAA farm program.' Miniatures, pieces of scrap and posters shown completed the display."
