Statue dedicated to the French geographer, explorer and colonialist Samuel de Champlain (1567-1635). A bronze man in a cape stands at the top of the pedestal and stone statues of a crouching Native American man and the stern of a canoe sit at the base of the pedestal. Trees, a bench and grass of the surrounding park also appear in the photo. |
