Original caption reads: "These pictures were taken at North Bright School, 3 miles from Owen in Clark County. Marie Carpenter, of Abbotsford, was the teacher and she had twenty-three pupils ranging in age from 5 to 12 years. These youngsters had collected enough scrap to fill the truck and a big trailer. Miss Carpenter said they were planning to buy a hot plate and other articles from the proceeds. |
