Madison United Givers' Fund First Drive
Two solicitors for the Madison United Givers' Fund drive of 1950, Mrs. Ellis (Helen) Wertz (left) and Mrs. Howard (Evelyn) Nedderman (second to left), listen to a discussion of the functions of the Associated Services for the Armed Forces (ASAF). The ASAF is one of the agencies taking part in the fund drive. Explaining the work of the ASAF to the solicitors are representatives of the three organizations making up the ASAF: left to right, Corwin Shell, YMCA; Edward J. Ownes, National Catholic Community Service; and Mrs. Morris (Belle) Richman, National Jewish Welfare Board. |
