Men and Women in Deering Works Canvas Department
A man and two women working in the canvas department at International Harvester's Deering Works (factory). The canvas was likely used for grain binders, harvester-threshers (combines) and push machines. The Deering Works was built by William Deering for the Deering Harvester Company in 1880. In 1902 the factory became International Harvester's Deering Works. It was located at Fullerton and Clybourn Avenues and closed in 1933. |
