Packinghouse District Convention
An undated photograph of a convention of District 1 of the United Packinghouse Workers of America. A sign in the background bears a picture of President Franklin D. Roosevet. Another indicates that it is the district's 4th annual convention. The UPWA name was not adopted until 1942, so the photograph probably dates after 1942 although it seems likely the district is including their history under the PWOC (Packinghouse Workers Organizing Committee) in calculating their 4th anniversary. |
