IBP Labor Strife

Iowa Beef Packers, later IBP, revolutionized the meat industry during the 1960s by introducing numerous innovations including the hiring of low paid workers that were, for the most part, non-union. IBP's success was not without considerable labor strife, however. This photograph shows workers on strike near the IBP plant in Fort Dodge. |
