Burkhardt Mill

A dam and small mill building on the Willow River. The plant, built by Christian Burkhardt as part of the Burkhardt Milling and Electric Power Company, operated from 1892 until 1914 and transmitted electricity over a power line for one mile to a flour mill. It was one of the earliest plants with a transmission line. |
