Golden Brand Products Truck

An International L-205 truck owned by the Golden Brand Products Company drives down a road in front of industrial buildings. The truck is marked: "Burgermeister." A truck is in the background reads, "Los Angeles - Seattle Motor Express." The original caption reads: "The Golden Brand Products Company of 201 Second Street, Oakland, California, distributor of San Francisco Brewing Corporation's Burgmeister Beer, recently purchased the new Model L-205 International "Roadliner" shown in accompanying illustrations. This model is one of the new L line and has a wheelbase of 157 inches. It also has a trailing axle. The truck is shown with 35-foot open-top C&C trailer which has a capacity of 1,100 cases of pints and 1,900 cases of canned beer. This new model truck and also an International K-12 with trailer are used to bring in bottled and canned beer to the company's Oakland warehouse, shown in the background of the pictures, from the brewery in San Francisco. Each truck makes three trips a day. These trucks are part of a fleet of 25 units, 17 of which are Internationals, mostly K-5's and K'7's. These other trucks are called route trucks and are equipped with beverage bodies. E.M. Molakides is general manager of the Golden Brand Products Company." |
