Fehr Baking Company Truck
An International L-150 truck owned by the Fehr Baking Company parked in front of Joe's Meat Market. The side of the truck advertises "Fairmade; Fairmade is Good Bread." The original caption reads, "The new L-150 International operated by the Fehr Baking Company of San Antonio is shown in front of a neighborhood store which is one of dozens of similar daily shops. A feature of this truck's special bakery equipment is the 18 stainless steel shelves (9 on each side) which are movable and by a simple jerk, the bread and cake cartons can be made to travel to the rear and thus facilitate quick deliveries. Besides the rear doors there is a door on the right side which leads to a front compartment. L. Ghirst is president of the Fehr Baking Company." |
