Holly Meat Packing Company Truck

An International L-180 truck owned by the Holly Meat Packing Company is being backed up by a male driver from the street to a loading door at the company's plant. The original caption reads, "...an L-160 with 142-inch wheelbase and a larger L-180 with 154-inch wheelbase and equipped with refrigerated bodies, have just been purchased by the Holly Meat Packing Company. They are shown in front of the company's plant at 2736 Magnolia Street, Oakland, California. The enclosed insulated bodies, 14x7x7 feet and 16x7x7 feet, are painted an attractive canary yellow. The company, a partnership operated by Charles Figone and Louis Figone, is in the wholesale meat and sausage business. Deliveries are made chiefly to restaurants and hotels within a radius of 200 miles of Oakland. Use is made of seven trucks, four of which are Internationals." |
