General Tire Company Truck
A man parks an International L-130 truck owned by the General Tire Company next to the Motor Supply Company building. Two large tires are loaded onto the bed of the truck. A sign reading "Westward Ho" is on a tall building in the background. The original caption reads: "The new L-130 International pickup truck shown in the accompanying illustrations is provided with a special powered tail lift for picking up big earthmoving equipment tires. It is of 124-inch wheelbase with 9-foot pickup body, and is shown in front of the purchaser's place of business, the General Tire Company of Phoenix at 328 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona. It is shown loaded with two of the big 2100 x 24 tires, each of which weights 800 pounds. The body was made by the Allison Steel Company of Phoenix. The truck is also provided with a compressor for servicing tires out on the job. It travels within a radius of 25 miles." |
