Rotary Presenting Check to Boy Scouts for Statute of Liberty
L.J. Markwardt, president of the Madison Rotary Club, is shown presenting Marvin Rosenberry, honorary president of the Boy Scouts Four Lakes Council, with a $600 check for the erection of a replica of the Statue of Liberty which was given to the Boy Scouts by the Madison Rotary Club to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Boy Scouting in America. To the right of Rosenberry are Eagle Scout Stefan Anderson and Bernard Gill, members of the executive board of the Four Lake Council. The aim was to further the cause of liberty. |
