Hurst Concrete Truck
An International Model KB-7 truck used to transport concrete blocks parked on a work or storage site surrounded by building materials. A man loads concrete blocks onto the bed of the truck. In the background is a fence, and on the other side of the street are houses and yards, and hills beyond. The original caption reads, "International Model KB-7, 176-inch wheelbase chassis with special dump body without sides, designed to dump a load of concrete blocks with a minimum of breakage. This unit is powered with a Blue Diamond 269 engine, has a 5-speed transmission and a 2-speed 6.14 - 8.25 to 1 rear axle. 9.00 - 20 tires. Unit is owned by the Hurst Concrete Products, Santa Barbara, California. Unit was placed in service November 14, 1947." |
