Interior view of the White Memorial Library in Whitewater. The library opened in 1904 and was funded with a $15,000 donation from Flavia White. Bottom left of photo reads: "#1, Whitewater Library, Claude & Starck Archts., Madison, Wis." In the room are reading tables with bentwood chairs, chandeliers, bookshelves, and a 12-drawer card catalog. Native American photographs are along the top of shelves on the right. Other rooms can be seen beyond a doorway and low dividing wall. |
