Loading Pole Supports on Truck

Loading Pole Supports on Truck | Photograph | Wisconsin Historical Society
Three men loading pole supports into the back of an International truck owned by the Puget Sound Power and Light Company. In the foreground are railroad tracks, and behind the truck is a low, wooden building and a hill rising above it in the background. The original caption reads: "A C-35 owned by the Puget Sound Power & Light Company, whose headquarters are in Seattle, but this truck is operating out of this firm's branch at Burlington, Washington. It is used for general maintenance work on the company's many miles of power and light lines in that section of the northwest. The truck is equipped with a complete assortment of repair material to meet any emergency and is kept available for such service day and night. I-36-Z shows it taking on a load of pole supports, these being hauled into the interior of the truck with its own winch powered by the truck engine..."
