| Two men stand by a wagon on which is written "A.L. Dahl Landscape Photographer." The photographer stands on the left side of the view. The flag on the side of Dahl's wagon is a souvenir of the Philadelphia Centennial International Exhibition of 1876. A wrought iron fence surrounds the Capitol Park. This Wisconsin State Capitol building, viewed from West Washington Avenue, was erected in 1857 and replaced in 1913. Caption on stereograph reads, "Centennial Views of Madison, July 4, 1876." |
