Harrison A. Garner Madison City Council President
A gavel inscribed with his name was presented to Harrison L. Garner Thursday afternoon by the board of directors of the Bank of Madison. The presentation was made in recognition of Garner's recent election as president of the city council and his 17 years of service on the council. Garner has been a member of the bank board since 1937. The gavel was presented by Lucille Colt, bank clerk and member of the WAC medical corps in World War II. Miss Colt made the presentation in her WAC uniform. |
