Exterior view of the Neenah Public Library in winter. The library opened in 1904 and was funded with a combined donation of $20,000 from the citizens of Neenah and Andrew Carnegie. Above the main entrance it reads: "Public Library." Cornerstone displays the year 1902. Notes in ink on the photograph. Lower left reads: "Library Bldg. Neenah, Wis," and lower right reads: "Van Ryn & DeGelleke Architects, Milwaukee, Wis." The building is of brick and stone, and has ionic columns, and a pediment at the entrance. |
