Bulldozer on Hillside
A man uses an International crawler tractor (TracTracTor) equipped with a bulldozer blade on a hillside in the construction of a road. The original caption reads: "There is nothing like actual earth moving work on real jobs to develop good bulldozer operators. In Camp Pendleton the need for more and more roads and more camp sites is giving men in training and maintenance groups an experience in crawler-tractor and bulldozing operation that cannot be beat. This series shows a number of Model TD-18 and TD-14 International Diesel crawler-tractors at work on a mountainous road called San Juan Trail which is 14 miles long and connects Camp No. 2 with Casey Springs where a new camp was planned." |
