Frank Long was the son of Adam Long and Elizabeth Hale. He was the son-in-law of William Berkeley Porter, and married to Porter's daughter, Lotte. When he died from a heroin overdose in the mid 1880s, his daughters and sons in law operated the pharmacy. Lotte was the daughter of Native American Harriet Lucy Thorpe, who married Berkeley Porter at 16. |
