International KR-11 Navy Truck with Airplanes

An International KR-11 truck used for refueling parks next to a line of airplanes on a runway. There is a man standing on one of the planes holding a hose attached to the truck. The original caption reads, "One of many International Model KR-11 Cab-over-engine tank trucks owned by the United States Navy and used in refueling Navy planes. International trucks of many models and body styles are in the service of the naval forces. The unit shown has two 750 gallon gasoline compartments and a 100 gallon oil compartment and is equipped with individual power pumps operated by the truck engine." |
