The Ho-Chunk powwow grounds near Black River Falls, Wisconsin, were donated to the tribe and named in honor of Andrew John (Big) Blackhawk (WaConChaHoNoKah), a World War I veteran. The grounds were part of the original forty acres allotted to his family. |
