MEC&MC Gantry Crane Constructing the L.I.R.R.

Milwaukee Electric Crane & Manufacturing Company gantry crane involved with the construction of the Long Island Railroad. There is a sign on the crane that reads "L.I.R.R. The Milwaukee Crane" and the crane is stamped "Milwaukee Electric Crane & Mfg. Co., 25 Tons, No. 442, Aux. 3 Tons." There are men helping load a truck, and the buildings in the background read "L. Glickman & Co.," "National Paper Bag Co.," and "Englander." |
