2 P&H Type "AN" Cranes in Foundry Operation

Two 50-ton Pawling & Harnischfeger type "AN" cranes with 10-ton auxiliary hoists in a foundry operation in Columbus, Ohio. Men are on the foundry floor, and there is an operator in the cab of the crane. There is a large opening at the end of the building in the background. Cranes use double or single auxiliary hoists on trolleys and standard bottom blocks. The cranes are stamped with the text "Pawling & Harnischfeger, Milwaukee, Wis., Main Hoist 100,000 Lbs., 10 Ton Auxiliary, No. 4249." |
