Professor Mary Frances Boyd, college of liberal arts at Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa, was a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Angus B. McVicar. Professor Boyd and Mrs. McVicar were cousins of her late husband. Professor Boyd came to Madison to act as master pronouncer for the Wisconsin State Journal's first annual Badger Spelling Bee. |
