Studio Portrait of Sally Dora Redbird Goodvillage Whitewater

Full-length studio portrait of Sally Dora Redbird Goodvillage Whitewater (WauNeekShootchWinKah). The braided ends of her finger woven sash are hanging down from her waist, covering up the appliqué on her skirt. The appliqué on the skirt was traditionally worn to the side but was sometimes brought to the center so that it could be seen in photographs. She has her hand resting on a blanket draped over a prop wooden fence. |
