City of Bloomington International A Tractor
Two men are standing with an International A tractor owned by the City of Bloomington. The tractor has a grader and front loader attached. The men are preparing to attach a snow plow to the tractor. Street signs are leaning up against the wall. Original caption states: "All-around utility. Front end loader, dozer. Gathers leaves with grader (has board attached so as not to damage streets). Loader is used to move cinders from stockpile into trucks for spreading on streets in winter. Pix show street dept. mechanic Delmar Medlock and Joseph Fulford (sweeper driver) removing grader and loader to install snow plow. Only unit of its type owned by dept., which also has Galion grader." |

International Harvester Company employees sometimes stamped photographs with the word 'kill.' The stamp indicated that they considered an image to be obsolete and wanted the negative destroyed. This would prevent someone from accidentally using an outdated photograph in an advertisement or other company publication. For a small fee WHS staff can remove the word from the image during the reproduction process. |
