Verona School Children and Train Engine
Thirty-six Verona first and second grade pupils rode the Chicago and North Western train from Verona to Madison, for twenty-two it was a first train ride. The engineer, Dill Dickens, encouraged the children to get in front of the engine for the picture and helped the boys climb on the front of the train. Their study of rransportation culminated in the train ride on the single coach train service from Lancaster to Verona and Madison. |
