International I-4 industrial tractor with crane owned by the Milwaukee Waterworks. Original caption reads: "The city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, purchased this I-4 and Mercer crane for its Waterworks Department. This unit is one of two. The equipment is used to move material in the municipal service building, and for loading and unloading freight cars and trucks. The equipment has operated 2-4 hours for a total of 1500 hours. It uses one gallon of gasoline per hour at 14 cents per gallon. Lubrication costs on average two cents per hour." |
