Clarence L. Dauberman Farm
People gathered around a Farmall Regular tractor on the farm of Clarence L. Dauberman. Original caption reads: "Sydney G. McAllister, chairman, executive committee, the International Harvester Company, July 31, 1941, was one of the speakers on the NBC National Farm and Home Hour which was broadcast from the Clarence L. Dauberman farm near Kaneville, Illinois. In July, 1934, Mr. Dauberman changed the cylinders of his Farmall for high compression and the broadcast ceremonies over WLS were to honor Mr. Dauberman for being the first farmer to adopt the high compression tractor in the United States. A bronze plaque (see photograph I-2511-EE) was presented to Mr. Dauberman for his part in developing the high-compression tractor." |
