Directing a Scene In "Romance of the Reaper"
A photograph from the Fox Hearst film "Romance of the Reaper". The film was produced by International Harvester at Walnut Grove to celebrate the Reaper Centennial. Caption on the back of the photograph reads: "Fox Hearst crew directing action of Colonel James McDowell (J. Van Walton) and Captain William Massie (Vance McClure), who are discussing reaper. Reading left to right: R.A. Chapman, director; Herman Obrock, second cameraman; Charles Downs, head cameraman; Whitey, carpenter and one of their "grips"; "Sol," assistant cameraman, and Johnnie, who worked with the cameramen, usually handling the reflectors." |
