Wisconsin Union Theater Centennial Play, "River Boat"
The Wisconsin Players presented "River Boat," an original centennial drama written by Robert Gard of Madison and Dore Reich of Milwaukee at the Memorial Union theater. It is a story of the raging feud between the railroad men and the riverboat people on the Wisconsin and Fox rivers in the 1870's. On stage are Anne Slattery, South Norwalk, Connecticut, (seated) as the daughter of a riverboat captain, and Marjorie Schaffer, Milwaukee, as the wife of the riverboat captain. |
