Wanigan and Bateau on the Chippewa River
Two men, one wearing an apron, sit in a wanigan tied to the shore of the Chippewa River near Chippewa Falls. The inside of the boat appears to have a pile of clams on a box near a window. Two clam shells wedged above the doorway support the notion that the items on the box are clams. There is also a horse shoe hanging above the door. There is a bateau tied to the wanigan. |
