Sheriff Herman P. Kerl, and Sally Penfield, with the four-gallon glass bottle for collecting donations to the "State Journal" Empty Stocking club, the Kiddie Camp, and the March of Dimes. O.C. Harris of rural Madison donated the bottle after numerous reports of thieves sneaking out of business places with the regular-size bottles hidden under their coats. |
