John J. Walsh
Lawyer John J. Walsh, 1930 Regent Street, representing the Log Cabin Inn and the Varsity Club at the City Council's public hearings on the proposed legislation to raise the age limit to 21 years of age for the purchase of beer. Mr. Walsh stated that he felt deeply on the subject and was strongly opposed to the question. He said that laws of this type would drive young people back to the "speakeasy". |
