D.F. Tyrrel and Sound Money | Print | Wisconsin Historical Society
"Sound Money!". A broadside advertising a talk by D.F. Tyrrel of Marinette, Wisconsin, in behalf of the Republican Presidential candidacy of William McKinley, an advocate of retention of the gold standard. Garret A. Hobart, McKinley's running mate, is virtually unknown today, perhaps because he died of heart failure after only three years in office. This talk was given at Kirchner's Tavern in Kaukauna, Wisconsin.
