Abraham Lincoln Ticket
An Unconditional Union ticket printed in Indiana in 1864 in support of the candidacy of Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson. The support for Lincoln's prosecution of the war is graphically indicated by a flag and a cannon. The ticket, which is damaged, mentions the at-large electors David S. Gooding from Hancock County, Richard W. Thompson from Vigo County, and the district elector James C. Denney, 1st District; Cyrus T. Nixon, 2nd District; Henry R. Pritchard, 3rd District; Leonidas Sexton, 4th District; Benjamin F. Claypool, 5th District; J.J. Wright, 6th District. Missing are the names of John Osborn, 7th District; R.P. Davidson, 8th District; James B. Belford, 9th District; Timothy R. Dickinson, 10th District; and John M. Wallace, 11th District. |
