Joseph Bruno and Santos Caravello

Joseph Bruno and Santos Caravello. The two men testified regarding the importance of the Optimist Club in helping give them at an early age, as children living in the Greenbush community, direction in life through the Lindbergh Junior Optimist club. The Optimist Club of Madison befriended the boys, and under the leadership of Ben Park and C.M. Chapman, they thrived in the learning and new interests provided them in the junior club. The guidance provided them lifted their expectations and life direction in many positive ways. As adults, they continued their interest and participation in the work of the Optimists in encouraging youth. Bruno became the owner of the Rocky Dell Mineral Water Company franchise in Madison. Caravello, a Ph.D. in Guidance Counseling from the University of Wisconsin, served for many years as a Guidance Counselor for the Norwich Central School System, Norwich, New York. |
