The "Jimmy" Dodge Memorial Baseball Trophy
John Gerlach, second from the right, was named "Most Valuable Player" in the Industrial League for 1948 and is the first to receive the Jimmy Dodge Memorial Baseball Trophy. Dr. Ray Huegel, right, is presenting Gerlach with a miniature replica of the Dodge Trophyh. Gerlach also won the League individual hitting trophy which is on the table in the foreground. The others attending, are, left to right: Cy Dodge, West Bend, a brother of Jimmy Dodge; Nels Dodge, Spring Green, Jimmy's father; Mrs. Fritz Berndt, Prairie du Sac, daughter of Jimmy Dodge. |
