Dam Dedication Ceremony
Dedication ceremony for the dam on the St. Croix River that is now part of the Gordon Dam County Park. Construction on this dam was begun as a WPA project in 1935. 1937 figures indicated that the dam affected the water level in 30 area lakes. Among the dignitaries attending the ceremony are Wisconsin Adjutant General Ralph Immell (seated with crossed arms and saddle shoes), suggesting that an armory may have been part of the facility. |
