Green Cross For Safety, Tractor Safety Cartoon

A cartoon from an International Harvester operator's manual. The cartoon depicts a man on crutches with a broken leg, a man's head with a pained expression, and a hand with the pointer and middle fingers partially absent. The accompanying text reads: "It pays to be careful for your own sake! Accidents can . . . lame, pain, maim and cost you money!". There is also an emblem with a black square cross in the center of a white circle, which is surrounded by a black circle with the words: "Green Cross For Safety" in white. The emblem is accompanied by the text: "An efficient worker is a safe worker". |
