The negative number on the photo indicates a date of 1934. However, that may be the date that the print was copied from an original. The image itself appears to date from before 1920. The Avery Company of Peoria was formed by brothers Robert H. and Cyrus M. Avery in 1874 and began as the Avery Planter Company at Galesburg, IL. There is a "ghost image" in the sky area of the print. |
