The Minneapolis Threshing Machine Company was founded in Hopkins, Minnesota by John S. McDonald as an outgrowth of the Fond du Lac Threshing Machine Company. The company manufactured threshing machines, but later began the manufacture of steam traction engines. In 1929, the Minneapolis Threshing Machine Company merged with the Moline Implement Company and the Minneapolis Steel & Machinery Company to become the Minneapolis-Moline Power Implement Company. |
