Easum, University of Wisconsin history department, at left, shown as he presented a case containing relics from the British house of commons, wrecked by German bombs in 1941, to Governor Oscar Rennebohm, at right. The case is a present from Charles Sumner Bird, president of the American and British Commonwealth association, and Eric Gordon Underwood, former aide of Winston Churchill, as a reminder of the ties between the two nations. |
