John Burrowbridge
John Burrowbridge, nearing his 80th birthday, operated a baggage and package delivery truck for 52 years. He is a member of an early Madison family after whom a community in England has been named. His father, James, came to this country at the age of 21. John went into business for himself in 1892, buying a horse and wagon and becoming a drayman, hauling goods between railroad depots and businesses on the Capitol Square. |
