Mixing Fermenter
Overhead view of a mixing fermenter that was later purchased by the Mixing Equipment Company Incorporated and used by Italproteine of Sardinia, Italy. Original Falk caption reads, "White strip of paper on split at right has three markings-each one a foot apart. All bearings provided with the thermo couple welds. The low speed lower bearing is designed to be grease lubricated; all others are pressure lubricated. Metering discs are provided for all eight oil entrances to the gear unit. Spare set of gears are shipped without testing them. Spare set of bearings also shipped. Eye bolts and clevis pins are furnished for use in lifting the intermediate and low speed assemblies together." Male employee in photograph is Dale Spridco.
